Cocoa Beach...about an hour from the home
FYI about and hour an a half to Clearwater Beach
Is this for real?
Yes it it!. I recall the first time I rented a home for a family Christmas vacation. Talk about skeptical and a tad nervous! It was amazing and that is when we decided to become vacation rental home owners.
******You can vacation in an entire house, pool, spa and game room for the same cost as ONE moderate priced hotel room, and much less than most resort rooms. Once you experience staying in a home it will be hard to go back to hotels for your vacation accommodations.
How close are the attractions?
With our super secret shortcut (not really, it just doesn't show on some maps) to Disney World: about 10 to 15 minutes until you
are on Disney property, Universal Studios: about 40 minutes and the same for Sea World. Cocoa beach on the Atlantic;1hr 15min.
travel time and Clearwater Beach (my personal fav, beautiful white sands, charming shopping town) 1 hr 30 min. Though all times
are dependent on traffic and your driving speed!
What else is there to do?
The questions should be, what can't you do? I always recommend guests, drive Route192 at least once during your first day or so.
You will find every kind of cuisine imaginable, major dining chains, two really cool, theme mini golf course, flea markets, several
huge inexpensive souvenir shops, (you can't miss them)! Tons of shopping and a really cute soft serve ice cream shop shaped
like a soft serve cone. If you are going to Disney World and using the shortcut you will be on Rt 192, but you will get off before
all of the fabulous things to do, see and buy. (Probably why the shortcut isn't on the map)
If the parks aren't your thing, there are the beaches, antique stores, a plethora of golf courses, air boat rides, zip lines, and check
out the charming small towns of Clermont and Winter Park. You will love the farmer's markets too.
What is included in the home?
The home has a fully equipped kitchen. All the usual needs, plus a crockpot, Keurig coffee maker, as well as drip maker, you
will find a super quick, hot water electric tea pot and don't forget to use the electric orange juice juicer. We have orange trees
in our back yard and you are free to pick as many as you like. There is nothing like fresh OJ. When you arrive you will have
a tray of starter coffee, tea, sugar and creamer, starter toilet tissue, paper towels, dishwasher packet, liquid dish detergent
and a hotel size bath products in each bathroom. We have pool floaties and you will not have to pack pool towels and
hair dryers. There is a hair dryer in each bath. There is a starter pack for a load of wash as well. You will enjoy cooking in
the kitchen with it's newly updated granite counter tops and huge stainless sink!
Where do I shop for groceries?
One mile from our community is a Publix grocery store and about three miles a Super Walmart. You can find everything you
need, food, alcohol, and more as well as some inexpensive Disney clothing souvenirs. You can even buy your theme park
tickets there. It that is not enough, there is a Super Target along Rt. 192, and just up Rt 27 from the community, you will find a
large "pick your own fruit" citrus market (there is pre-picked fruit too). You can also take monster bus rides and get a
picture on an alligator. (no worry, it is a statue) There is a nice selection of gift worthy, jarred foods, honey, hot sauce and such.
Head "right" out of the community to get to the big fruit stand, there is a smaller one on the way to the Publix and Walmart.
What doesn't the home offer?
We don't have a grill. Why? To ensure a safe, clean grill, we recommend renting one through our management company. It will
have a full tank of gas and comes with utensils. The guest guide in the home will have details on how to obtain a grill. We have a no pet policy. We want the home to be comfortable for all guests. Even the best cleaned homes can retain allergens.
There is no a smoking policy inside the home.
